Ascap award-winning songwriter, Darien Dennis, commonly known for his “Wow 2009” hit “One God” (recorded by Maurette Brown Clark) has been writing in the trenches of the gospel industry for over a decade. His freshman release, “Full Measure”, still highly coveted 10 years later, presented him to the gospel world as a fresh newcomer with a keen sense of worship and a heart aplenty with praise.

Dennis followed up “Full Measure” with the sophomore double CD, “New Place”. His sound had grown and become further notable to a wider audience. His works include chants and melodies meant to reach the heavenly atmosphere. He, along with his group, “Living Worship”, placed the focal point away from them and pointed it in the direction of God’s dear Son. Songs like “El Elyon” and “Song of Zion” allowed the listener to envision a more real and present heaven, provoking them to live a life worthy of reaching there. His strong song writing abilities, piercing and penetrating content, and humble heart make for a unique blend of an artist who is sight unseen following the hand of the master musician.

Darien returns again in 2009 to embrace his call as a songwriter and artist. Not only has Dennis written his entire new album, but he is also recording, singing, arranging, and producing the majority of its content. Now more in the mogul seat, he owns and operates along with his team of studied engineers, “Synergy Studios”, thereby which he is completing the remainder of his album, due to release in October. “Vertical”, as the record is so named, aims to learn the hearer in the art of reaching God soundly and without interference.
