Kirk Franklin Announces

The KING’S Men Tour

 with Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin,

Kirk Franklin has teamed up with Live Nation to kick off a national gospel tour featuring Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin, and Israel Houghton. The King’s Men tour will make stops in 15 U.S. cities starting September 16th at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, AZ. Stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, and New York are also planned.

Kirk says in a statement that partnering with Live Nation is a great honor and responsibility. “The genre of gospel music having this kind of massive marketing support is monumental, and the talent on this tour makes it a must-see event!” Kirk says. “I’m very proud of this relationship and I expect it to be a new groundbreaking platform for inspirational entertainment.”

Between them, Kirk, Marvin, Donnie, and Israel, hold down more than a hundred Grammy, Dove, Stellar, BET, Soul Train, NAACP, and American Music Awards honors. Fans who want to meet the King’s Men crew can take advantage of special artist meet-and-greet and VIP packages. Tickets go on sale later this month.

My interpretation of that is to be enthusiastic, which in turn is synonymous to crazy! A modern day expression of enthusiastic love is to profess being crazy in love. My love for Jesus is on that level.”

The chorus explains it all – No I ain’t crazy for loving Him/Crazy in love maybe/Crazy with joy yuh see/That’s how His love makes me/Feel I can clap my hands/Might wanna stomp my feet/So glad He’s lovin’ me/Loving me crazy.

CVS is introducing Project Health  to provide free preventive health screening programs in multicultural communities.

In 2012, Project Health will deliver more than 1,000 free preventive health screening events in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. The campaign will primarily focus on African-American and Hispanic consumers who suffer from certain treatable conditions, like high blood pressure and diabetes, and who often have difficulty accessing preventive care.

“In recent weeks, there have been numerous published reports stating that I am pregnant. I would like to take this time to confirm that I am pregnant and due in September. I have been feeling well and maintaining a healthy appetite. I have been busy traveling around the country with my music ministry. One can only imagine that as a mother and mother-to-be, my plate is quite full—taking the kids to school, doing homework, cooking—regular mother duties. I have been blessed to have the love and support of my church, family, friends, label, management, and fans. I have received so many beautiful and thoughtful notes and prayers from people all over the country. I ask that you continue to pray for me and my family. I cannot do this alone. I will continue to pray for God’s guidance and protection over my life. I love you all very much and I will be in touch soon.”

Lil’ Kim Professes Faith After A Year Of Miracles

and Says: “Put God First”

Lil’ Kim is doing a little soul searching these days.

She definitely has spent the last few years living outside of her comfort box. Dancing with the Stars, broadened her appeal and now she’s opening up about her spiritual life. This weekend she talks about her connection with God, life, and music on BET’s inspirational program Lift Every Voice.

“I think in this industry, people lose it,” said the Queen Bee. “That’s because they’ve probably never had a connection with God and if they do have a connection with God, they forget to put Him first.” The show should be interesting to watch.

Last year she experienced a little scare when her best friend was giving birth. She says, “One of my best friends, she gave birth to my god daughter and I am so proud to welcome her to the world. The thing is, my best friend is a diabetic so technically she’s taking a risk having children at all. I had to rush to her aid and my god daughter was born.”

It just goes to show that not everything we see on screen is what is true. Many people have hearts of faith you just don’t know it.
