Gospel Spoken Word  Artist

Bridgeport, CT-native Tye Martin has a passion for the creative arts and a heart for God. As early as five-years-old, Tye would gather her family into one room so she could perform for them from her makeshift stage (usually pamper boxes). While an all around performer, writing has always been a form of escape for her. 

After graduating Clark Atlanta University and working as a social worker for two years, she felt the pull to return to her creative endeavors and picked up her pen once again. The move proved God ordained as her other creative gifts soon resurfaced and she began pursuing acting and modeling along with writing. 

Stepping out on faith proved challenging, but also rewarding. She now has to her credit appearances in numerous films, plays, television shows, and commercials. She has also modeled for numerous fashion shows and print campaigns, and garnered attention for her profound poetry. 

Tye Martin was led by God to California, and has ventured into spoken word and is dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through the creative arts. She has performed at many outreach youth events, schools, churchs, and many other venues. She is going forward with the aim of having a positive impact on her audience. She believes that entertainment is an instrument that can be used for healing, deliverance, and salvation. As such, she is a member of the evangelical theatre company Eastern Sky (currently touring The Last Appeal), in the midst developing her own writing company, and has her first inspirational book First Fruit: A Journey Through an Awakened Soul slated for release this fall.  She hopes to travel the world using her creative gifts to share and spread the gospel.
